I have experience working with people from a range of ages, diverse backgrounds, and with various concerns bringing them in for counselling. I have also facilitated a number of therapy groups, including marriage preparation workshops and groups for depression, eating disorders, and self-esteem. I completed training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy and use this approach when working with couples. Favouring an integrative approach to therapy, I often draw on mindfulness, among other approaches in my practice. Together we can determine which methods of addressing your concerns feel like the best and most natural fit.
Putting together the puzzle pieces of people’s mental processes has been an interest of mine since I took my first psychology class in high school. I feel incredibly grateful to be invited to witness, guide, and facilitate the healing and growth that can come with choosing to do the inner work that therapy requires.
Born and raised in Calgary, this city has been my home for most of my life. My partner (colleague at Assured Psychology, Dave Ponak), dog, and I live in the inner city. I love to explore the city’s outdoor spaces, visit new off-leash dog parks, as well as head to the mountains when I’m able. I also enjoy travel, and experimenting with new recipes to cook and bake.
